Week 12: Work in Progress

Dernière mise à jour : 25 mars 2019

Since we have had cross course this week, we have not worked so much with our individual work.

Tanguy's work in progress:

The framing began...

Elisabeth's work in progress:

Working further making the ramp. The ramp leads up to a higher level, up towards the light. The ramp will progress.

The wall has been moved (with help from Han, Praewa and Tanguy) towards the skylight, and created a "new" space behind the wall, towards Gustavo's work. For me to move upwards on the ramp, I need to support myself again the wall.

Hanne's work in progress: Moving the jumping and connect it with the outdoor view. Jumping into a new space.

Praewa work in progress:

She started explore space in 1:1 scale and work further on explore collage of the landing.

Han's work in progress:

Han took these photos when he were stretching his body. Some of views of what we are looking at are different entrances which people could enter into the mezzanine and school. So people who sit in the box could stretch their body to obverse people who are passing through the mezzanine, people can not see them easily at the same time.

The dash line is showed the farthest distance that Han can move. Therefore, it created different size of holes in the same pages.

Gustavo's work: With the change of the elisabeth's wall together with the panels that separated the passage from the rest of the mezzanine a more isolated environment has been created. Gustavo has worked with a series of 4 panoramas that are made according to his action of rotation to understand the space in which it is located, a new atmosphere arises, creating a more harmonic space in terms of lighting and space proportion.

The next phase would be the idea of creating a cocoon that arises from the Gustavo's action of rotating in the ground, creating a minimum space of relaxation and tranquility, closing in on itself.

Photomontage inspired by Woods Bagot's cocoon

Gustavo began to draw the 3d model of the school to understand the relation of the mezzanine with the environment as well as the proportions of the spaces that constitute the hall of the school in a more precise way as support of the following phase of the course when we enter in the design and project part.
